When all are

Light: Fade to blackout to
signify beginning
Sound: Fade to silence alongside
light
Light: middle aisle (to
encourage people to turn inwards) and then slowly bring up general lighting on
audience only (not stage)
Jemima (into
mic): “This is one hundred ways, to survive, as a woman, in a city, that you’re
trying to make your home. Will you let you hair down?”
She unties her
hair and encourages those around her to do the same.

Jemima begins
song:
“ [And now the
walk about, after dark
It’s my point
of view
If someone
could break your neck
Coming up
behind you, always coming
And you never
have a clue
And now the
look behind, all the time
I will wait
forever
Always looking
straight
Thinking,
counting
All the hours
you wait] REPEAT
Hmmm hmm hmmm

See you on a

Hmmm hmm hmmm
See you on a

Hmmm hmm hmmm
See you on a
